ok.. So be watching and reading all year.. waiting for this topic to come up.. and it hasn't so.. i guess i'll Start it..

K we all know that the Pro Comes with 2 different Plugs

One for 91+ non eth.. which is 160 ohms

a 87+ with eth.. is 24 ohms

SO hears the deal.. The Difference is only 5% Fuel Change between the 24 Ohms, and the 160 Ohms..

??? Is has one played with like a 100 Ohms Resistor? or a 200 Ohms??

Thinking this way is cheap to play with the fuel curve that a PC-V thats 329$$

So why not play with .10 resistors??? hmmm

Anyone any thoughts????

The biggest advantage of fuel controllers is being able to fine tune specific rpm ranges.

Matt, I think your on to something but as murph said the fuel controler adds and subtracts the fuel in specific locations. I think with a little more R&D you could really have something. I will be waiting to hear the results, because my pro is still in the mail until next fall.

I would imagine that the ecm is looking for a high/low resistance fuel plug to pick between two maps, a resistor inbetween would probably just set a code and not partially change a fuel map. I changed my fuel plugs in the dark once with the engine running and it set a code for a bad resistor. So Im guessing anything but OE resistance is gonna cause problems and failsafe to ethenol fuel map.

i agree ..well said...

most likey the "ecu is looking for 2 values, and only 2. The fact that polaris printed these values(ohm) on the "plug" is only for reference.

In the same respect, I have noticed polaris tends to print/label connections and values on thier vehicles. THANK YOU POO!

Other, manu's dont label crap and thats VERY frustrating, imo!

It will only take the 160ohm or the 24ohms resistors.
