Different brand pistons?

Quick question.. I have two good pistons for my 9 but they are different brands (been rebuilt twice had one good piston left over each time) Is it ok to mix and match brands or is this a not a good idea? Have one stock and one psi. Thanks

I wouldn't mix them for a couple of reasons:
1. non-oem pistons are modeled after the 2005 piston which has design flaws that result in catastrophic failure when they fail.
2. different pistons likely have different weights that may cause an issue or premature failure.

I'd highly recommend going to 06 OEM pistons.

You would not want two different weight pistons swinging around in there!! The cost to have them balanced etc..06 pistons and sell the others..someone will need 'em.

06 oem piston

I have one good 06 oem piston and one spi good piston anyone have one they would like to sell so I can have a pair? Thanks
