different 900 Cat primary's?

So, looking for replacement clutches. Had a 9 tower on mine, saw some on e-bay. My motor is from an '03.5 Mtn Cat. Was there a difference from that and the '04-later King Cats? Seems I've found a few ZR900 clutches, look like 6 towers, listed as 33MM. But they're listed as '02-'04, and another as '04-'06... different part numbers. Whats the difference? What do I need to know here? Found a 900 T-Cat 9 tower... they a 33MM crank? Are the primary's interchangeable from the Mtn Cat 900 to King Cat 900? Wanna make sure I buy a primary that fits.

Anything from an '02+ 8 or 900 twin will work. The 8/9/1000 triple is not a 33mm crank, it will not work.

There is a 9 tower 33mm clutch, and (at least) two different six tower ones. One takes the weights that use a set screw, and one takes the older style weights. Either will work.

Hope that answers your questions.

All the 8 and 900 standup engines used the 33mm clutch except for the 01 800, it was the standard 30mm. The Firecat, Crossfire and M 600, 700, and 800 also used a 33mm clutch but the bore is not quite as deep. There are also a couple different diameter clutches. The one they list for the 04 and 05 900 ZR is 8 1/2" diameter, the 06 ZR 900 is 8 1/4" and the ones for all the King Cats are 8". I am running an 8 1/4" ZR clutch on a King Cat.

I also run a zr 8.25 clutch on my king cat. I bough it cause it was cheaper but have never had a issue with it.
