Differences in Nytro turbos

Looking into turbos for my Nytro, one thing I am wondering is what are the differences between the kits as far as anybody knows. I want a rear mount pump gas setup for 1500 feet with occasional high altitude trips, but I'm wondering on what might be included in some kits that arnen't in others. What should I be looking for?

i think now only mcx or powderlites to pick from for the rear mount now & as of right now( i know i mite catch $hit for this but )i think daves kit is a better value & he has allot of trick parts the mcx dosnt have plus its around 500$ cheaper.that being said mcx makes a great kit one of the best & you cant go wrong with it,there kit works & usually has the least issue due to longer testing time. if i was you i would talk to both dealers & go from there.daves kit comes with gauges + everything is ceramic coated & a few other thing think the only thing you need is clutch parts.mcx kit you have to add gauges + clutch parts + no ceramic coatings but thet have the most trick fuel controller out there right now. there are some other guys coming out with some just as good or better now.

What he said. Daves kit is kicking the MCX kit powerwise as well.

I realize Daves stage two is working real well but I'm thinking more his stage 1 and how that compares to the mc express kit. What are the differences between those two since I'm not really sure. What can be expected out of the mcx kit for power?. From what I understand , Powderlites stage one is good up to 10-11 pounds boost?? The powderlites kit does sound really good though.

the powder lights kit stage 1 is good at 14lbs on pump gas at elevation i beleave with daves timing & head shim dave would have a better idea because he has had it on the dyno so he would have some real # for you.the mcx kit is around 12lbs on pump fuel with timing & head shim.daves kit comes with gages that you need,daves trick timing with the timing tool, ceramic coated turbo housing & pipes,ported wastegate & divorced down pipe,you need to go to the stage2 to get the trick efi controller not sure what thats worth.the mcx has the very trick efi controller .iam not trying to point you towards daves kit but to me it has the best value right now & i know it works,the mcx kit is a awesome kit to cant go wrong with either kit just get the one that fits you.:beer;:beer;

as far as hear-say goes......... there's not many mid or front mount T-Nytro's out on the snow this season. I could be wrong. My sled builder has just received his 1st Alpine kit this season & i have been hearing that there's other kits out there, but are they on the snow with good solid reports yet????
I'm in the same boat as far as which kit to go with......... next year!!!

I watched Alpines Nytro go when I was at the Alpine shoot out and it was beating all the Apexs and that was with Dean running it and he is not a small boy.The only time that any thing came close to beating it was when Ermen and Rebec went at it and it was really close.I know when I decide to get a nytro it will be Alpine.JMO:beer;

why rear mount?

I run a front mount on my sled and have loved it. I've ridden rear mounts as well and IMO the rear mount sleds handle better due to the weight distribution, JMO. I'm certain my next sled will be a rear mount. I'm willing to trade some response if necessary for no more header issues, I haven't ridden Daves kit or Alpines yet but I will try to before buying any kit for my Nytro.
