Differences between kits?

What are the differences between a 2016 ST kit and a 2017 ST kit?

I'm seeing good deals on 16's but don't know if it's worth buying a 17' kit.

Can you please help me understand?

The 2017 ST has a new tunnel side panel design, RMK I-beam rails and bumpers, you can also have the option of having the fox zero pro shocks and I think it also has a new x-ring chain. I have the 2015 kit and I think I'm just going to buy the 2016 left over LT I don't think I will care awhole lot for the upgrades plus I'll save some money buying last years kit.

All 17 has new rails, new sidepanels and a different chain.

The Raw removes the front flex arm and has RydeFX shocks. There is a pad for a gas can, but not the full built-in rack like the ST/LT models have.

The standard ST/LT have the same shocks as last year.

The ST/LT-LE have new QS3R shocks.

The SX also gets the QS3R shocks.

Shock Length

Anyone know if there would be a problem getting the QS3R shocks to fit in a 2015 ST kit?

Thanks for the info. I'm leaning on buying a 2016 ST kit because of cost. If the main difference is side panels and a chain, is it worth it? Can a guy up grade the chain on a 2016 anyways?

I personally don't think it is worth buying a new 2017 when you can get a new 2016 for cheaper. And yes I'm sure you could upgrade the chain if you wanted to but I haven't had any issues with the older chains.
