Difference in 09 HCR engine and a M8

I thought I read somewhere that the 09 HCR has a few more HP than the standard 09 800 Cat engine. I compared part numbers on Browns between the HCR and regular M8 angines and I can not find any differences in parts used. Am I missing something here? Just curious!

there's a differance in fuel mapping and possibly timing. No mecanical dif.

here we go again, NO difference at all, unless you bought it from the Cat race Dept, then it may have different ECU, if you bought it as a consumer sled its just a M8.

I think the fact that some of the hcr's out there are from the race dept confuses folks, you get a few people that talk about them being different & yeah, SOME are. There was so much speculation out there about them last year that lots of folks got a bs story. If you have one that's different it will have writing on the ECU. (and you wouldn't have bought it from a dealer...)

Is was for ALL M8s, not just the HCR, HCR got a lot of hype last year, you don’t hear as much this year, an HCR is just a M8 with some suspension and track changes
