The whole point of the CSC competition is clean, quiet, and fuel economy. Sleds are clutched and setup accordingly. Aggressive clutching plays a large difference in mpg of a snowmobile. I noticed a change in miles per tank full of my nytro going from crappy stock clutching (pulling only 8k in loose snow) to optimum power clutching (pulling 8700-8800 in loose snow).
