Did I say the season was over 3 weeks ago? My bad - Vail Pass 4/24/13

I was premature on my previous post, we still have plenty of riding left and I've gone 8 of the last 10 days. 3 years, 1500 miles on a sled, damn snowmobiling is so addicting!

Awesome Yesterday at VP! I can't wait to get back out.

Unless that is the main Shrine Bowl, I bet I know exactly where you were dropping that! We had hoped that nobody would find that hidden drop. We went back there yesterday at about 7:30pm to check it out. Riding in the trees was wicked good. I can't believe how much snow VP picked up in those storms. Looks like the hills are setting up but we didn't take any chances.

Doing Vail this afternoon. This part of Colorado has a lot of new snow in the last 10 days. Our High Country Snowmobile Club did our last club ride and BBQ at Spring Creek last Saturday. It's the deepest it's been all year by far. Here in Frisco after the last 14 inch dump last Monday night it's the deepest it's been this winter.

It's been a terrific spring and I am so happy that I was able to ride 25 days since Feb 1st. I bet vail pass has a solid 500" on the season. It is deep pretty much everywhere but will pack down quick with these warm temps.

My goal was 20 days riding, I got 25 and hope to go to different areas and to scout places for next season. What a fantastic spring we have been blessed with...

Don't believe Hillside.

Everybody knows Vail Pass is nothing but groomers and rental sleds.

Awesome days Tuesday and Wednesday,had the place basically to ourselves.Saw 2 people on Tuesday,other than that the only tracks we saw were ours.Maybe 5 trailers in the lot Wednesday.Awesome coverage,it's far from over.

5 of us went up from Frisco to Vail last night, my 14 year old grandson included and rode from 5:00 till dark thirty. Excellent is the only way to describe it. And only saw two other riders. Mega snow, most all season.

Hey Ron if you are still riding at 77yrs, hats off to you! You're a badass and an inspiration!!!

Thanks for the compliment, I just can't do what I use to on the sled, have a hard time hanging out sidehilling, when you get old the muscles go away and everything else is right behind them. It's still a ball, hope to ride a few more years. It's a lot better than siting in the shade under a cactcus down in AZ.
