ROME, Ga. (AP) - The University of Sioux Falls won the NAIA
national football championship today by downing Carroll College of
Montana 23-7.
Sioux Falls lost to Carroll in the title game a year ago.
Lorenzo Brown threw a touchdown pass and rushed for 129 yards to
lead the winning Cougars, who were unbeaten in 14 games this year.
It's the third national title for Sioux Falls. The Cougars also
won in 1996 and in 2006.
Carroll College had won five of the past six NAIA titles.
Today's championship game was played in Rome, Georgia.
