did any one notice klim and yamaha have gear together

Last week at the Snow Shoot they had all Klim gear with the little Yamaha logo or name on it. Very smart move by Yamaha unless the price is rediculous. I would imagine it will be at least the same price as directly from Klim.

For what it's worth, Polaris has a new line called "event". I wore event gloves and coat in some nasty conditions last week for 2 days straight and it kept me dry and warm... I was pretty impressed.

Did I mention anything about selling Klim?

I didn't think so.

I was simply putting a link to yamaha's website for people who do not want to search for the pricing.

You can thank me now.

Sorry, just saw Klim in your sig line, didn't wanna confuse you with someone who sends stuff.... You are welcome

eVent is the next big thing. Super breathable, way more than goretex, and 100% water proof. My wife has an eVent jacket and can't stop talking about how great it is, and she is very critical of outdoor clothing.

I expect we'll see it a lot more. GoreTex has a lot of exclusive contracts with jacket manufacturers but they will expire.

Yes, unfortunately, you will see a small increase in the price of Klim gear for the upcoming season. This is in no way exclusive to just Klim. We have been working for weeks on all the price changes at our store from different manufactures and vendors. It is getting more expensive to import and just ship in general, cost of production etc... These are the biggest increases we've seen in years. It really sucks with a poor economy. Klim seems to be holding fairly steady. Alpinestars boots went up 20% across the board! :eek:
This should be a good move for both Klim and Yamaha. In the long run you may see prices stabilize more due to the increased volume.
If you haven't seen the new stuff yet, Klim has some great new products and improvements for the upcoming season.
As far as Event :rolleyes: and I say this all the time. As long as the product works for you, it doesn't matter what brand it is. However, Event is nothing more than windstopper Gore-Tex comparable to the Klim inversion jacket. It will keep you warm and mostly dry, but won't displace moisture as quickly, but like I said if it works it works and that is all that matters.

I love my KLIM stuff, but it's already over priced, good luck on raising it a little more with the economy just in the beginning stages of going in the crapper..

Do you know when the new Klim stuff will be out for the public to see OR if I stop by will you show me the new stuff:D:beer;

i know this was for full monte you should be able to see it in sept but he should have the deales guide know i seen some of it looks good have moved on to scotts fxr and hmk but klim build quality stuff getting a little out of the price for the normal folks or call me cheap

i was looking at yamahas new sleds and found klim gear

Yup, I knew a coupla months ago. I have both Event and Klim gear. Events have better knee pads and work from below 0 to +50 without being bulky or drafty. Jackets are both good but It's hard to directly compare the Valdez to the Poo version jacket. I need double jointed wrists to work the underarm vents on either. I like them both, just not the pricetags. :eek:
