Diamondfield Jack/Magic Mountain

Was thinking about going up this weekend. Haven't been before and heard it might be best to know your way around. Has anyone been up in the past week? How is the snow? Is there a trail map one can get a hold of. I looked online and wasn't able to find anything.
thanks for the help.

trail maps

If you go to the forest service office they have a colored map of trails. They also have a more detailed map that is black and white. Hope that this info will help you out.

It's been a few years, but I believe they have a couple trails that you can follow all over from the parking lot. Can't say anything about snow conditions, but I remember going down on a year like this and constantly watching for lava rock outcroppings. Most of the area is pretty open so it's not hard to get around. If the snow is decent you should be able to get a full day of good boondocking in. It's definitely a great area for beginner/intermediate riders to have fun or for a guy to just get away from the big hills for a day. Magic Mountain Snotel site is showing 54 inches as of Monday, so it should be pretty good. Let us know how it goes.
