Diamond S Hood

I just got my Diamond S hood, need some ideas/pictures for sealing off the front so snow does not get in the intake area. Plan on using Timbersled intake. If anyone has a great solution please share it! I have looked at plastic, rubber etc. Worried about deep, cold powder days!

i used a piece of aluminum and mounted to the inside of the hood.riveted and bolted into the front tie downs. then painted the outside black and used some extra bushwacker seal along the edge.seals nice and tight to the front nose.
pretty easy to do.

i siliconed a nice fat piece of 3/4 inch inside diameter copper pipe foam between bumper and tub...cost 68 cent for a three ft piece...used just a foot of it...hood rest on it...100 percent air tight and easily replaced if needed

All sleds are dimensionally different, even same models. It would be tough to make one that fits all. I fab'd an alum piece for the front and used pipe foam insulation per above. Will post pix when done. The hoods are great, used one on a 1M. No more blowing belts!

mine is sealed with using mesh flap and snap buttons, this also removes the plastic piece behind the bummper

think you get a piece like it with slp hot air elimation kit

I sealed mine with a piece of aluminum diamond plate, then placed foam on top. works great. I'd recommend a bdx intake as it has a plastic piece above the mesh intake where small amounts of snow are easily removed. good luck.
