Well we headed up to the Diamond Field area after being turned away from Wells summit. Snow was good, deep, and dense. The wife didn't have any trouble getting around, since it was so dense, but if you attacked a hill you could dig in and burry it. Back country was good, but still dense, easy to carve up. If you familiar with the area, the snow banks where they clear out for the parking lot were about 10' deep in most places. Road was OK if we could just get the idiots off the road that don't know how to tow in snow. Looks like some one stole all the fire wood in the warming hut, again... so if you want a fire bring your own wood. We took off when the wind reached about 30mph and the trees started snapping off about half way up the trunk due to the wind and snow load. Looked cool, but dangerous. If the weather improves, I would head up tomorrow.
