diamond drive 05 m7

do u guys add oil to it every year, i just rebuilt my drive at the end of last season, does it hurt to run too much oil in it, i know it only holds 4 ounces, how often should u pull it apart

the 05 holds 3oz.You should crack it everyyear, but just drain and fill should be fine the early dd is pretty bomb proof...do a search lots of info out there...

Agreed, 3 oz. Any more and you'll take out seals. Keep her clean and it will keep on going!

I have an '05 M7 and as soon as I put the BB on, I had nothing but trouble. I didn't have a DD last more than 2 rides. I bought a complete black diamond one and haven't had any problems since. I pull it apart completely and change the oil probably 3 times a season, just to be sure though. Don't want to start going thru them again. I'm sure it's overkill, but 30 minutes of time + $5 worth of oil = no diamond drive problems.

i stand corrected on the oil quantity,

i just bought the little bottle from the cat dealer and assumed it was 4 oz. not 3 , i'm sure i have the right quantity. thank you guys!!
