detanation?

i was out today with the t-nytro getting things set up. I have the bigger injectors from dave powerlites and the stage 2 turbo. I am kindof new at the turbo thing only my 2 year. hear is the scoop running 17-18 pounds at 2000 ft with the bigger injectors i was around the 12.0-12.5 a/f so that was good and the rpms where 8400 to 8800 i am running 50/50 c10 with pump gas with a head shim. on the flat semi packed snow it rips from start to finish all is good. But in the deep snow on a long pull it start popping at mid to top end puty bad on top end. So it seems to pop when it is under load. But i don't understand is in the field where there is less snow and is straight it seems fine. Could it be detonsion? Can you hear detonsion because this sound you can hear and feel
I don't think its hitting the riv limiter because it should hit it like mad in the hard pack and it does't only when you work it in deep pow and on a climb thanks i want to address this problem if it is detonation before boom p.s may have to turn down boost or run straight race fuel?!

can be several situation but to clear out your mind, empty your tank and start again with 110 octan gas.....see if same situation happen, if not , then detonation it was!(would be surprising you earing the detonation will riding full throttlr thou.....would feel it but earing it???).can also be a bad injector or a problem related to not enough fuel dumped on load i.e: lean condition. but start with straight 110 octan and you will eliminate one possibility.
