DET - Please share your knowledge

I
Buddy's 2012 pro, BD non-intercooled, EBC, Timing key, Running boost at 8 lbs. - Hitting DET Code, Tried lower boost, Tried More octane, Running 30% AV/91. Typically hits DET when you're WOT, let off a tad, and then WOT- Bam!! DET Thoughts????

You are running the EBC, is it hooked up correctly? At what elevation are you running 8# of boost? Is it changing the boost numbers at lower elevations? Need more info, head, pipe, pistons????????

If it is bd timingkey, try to remove it. Some guys here had det problems, and removing timing key solved it for them.

8500rpm from what I have been told. It is weird too, you won't see the rpm read on your gauge either when it happens, but do some research, it is a reoccurring trend for pros.

Get rid of the two angle helix that comes with the Bd kit, and get a straight 48. Alot easier to tune the clutches, and avoid over reving it and hitting det.

Also remove the timing key, it caused alot of weird tuning issues and detonations on my sled.

Im runndt 9.4psi on the ebc, at 1300ft to 4000ft, straight pumpgas, rktek 10.2 head and 10-78 weights. 2013 Assault
