Det Light Question

So if I get my sled hot enough I can get it to trip the det light pretty easy. Im not looking for people to tell me to turn the boost down or add octane, im wondering if when the light comes on if the sled is actually in det or if it is just warning me that its soon to come... If that makes sense.

I always cool my sled down for 5 minutes after I see the light and im good to go again, I cant actually hear det or see any other signs when the light comes on so I feel like im fine, just wondering if im actually hitting det or if its just warning me not to push it.

The det sensor works off of frequency. When it detects the "sound"(frequency) of the detonation it trips the code.
So to answer your question. No, it's not a warning, it means you have detonated. The sensor will also pick up like noises and register them as det as well. Like a air box hitting on the bulk head, or any other metal on metal contact.

I know you have heard this before, but you need the third injector...:face-icon-small-coo

Getting the third injector is really similar price wise to me putting a KPA 2860 on it. So I think im going to swap the turbo instead since I know that im not maxing out my duty cycle on 8 PSI.

8psi is pretty close to what a stock injector will keep up with. But your turbo is a bit to small. Can't do no harm going with at least a 2860
