derlins in primary

ive seen a few comments of people putting derlins on either side of the primary spring. Hows that working out? took my clutch apart on my 11 pro 155 to find nasty wear marks on either side of the primary where the spring sits. im gonna put thin washers on either side of the spring and see if that helps. (broke a stock spring, slp blue pink is getting worn on the ends from the binding). i know this is an ongoing issue just wondering if theres a solid fix for it. thanks. p.s. where can i get pimary derlins?

X2 on rotax's link. Got a few from Indy Dan and have a few trips, I will post up some pics when I pull the primary apart next time. I think one delrin on the spider jam nut end of things should do it. Good luck. EW

Has anyone seen one of these? It's a Polaris part....acts like a Delrin and also keeps the springs from getting nicked by the spider jam nut and breaking. :face-icon-small-win

Is it possible that the spring issue is caused by inconsistently manufactured jamb nuts ? My '12 Pro does not have any marks on the primary spring. Has anyone had a machinist take about .050" off the outside of the jamb nut ?

WB, those were on the '02/'03 primary's I believe. I don't know why they quit using them.

It may be something or it may be nothing but I noticed this difference between my '12 spring on the right and an '09 take out on the left. Notice the gap on the '12 on each end and how it's wound. Could this lead to digging in or gouging compared to the '09? Just a thought. EW
