Dems pass a climate bill out of committee

There was not one single republican in the room and they still got one "no" vote.

They said they wanted to give bo something so when he goes to the climate conferance he won't go empty handed.

The pundents are saying something else.
Tuesdays elections scared a lot of moderate dems and those facing a tough re-election campaign and the dems want to pass health care and cap and trade with enough time before the 2010 elections to spin it to their advantage.

If they can't, they know they will lose big.

I called Senator Baucus on this yesterday or the day before and asked him not to vote on it without the EPA report (or at all, but first things first) and he actually voted NO!! He was the only Dem. I'm sure it wasn't my phone call that did it , he's got another agenda that doesn't include his constituents, but I actually have another window open on the computer right now thanking him for his no vote. I called him first thing this a.m. to thank him too, but figured I'd put it in writing as well.
