Demo ride on the 2010 m8's

Got the opportuniuty to ride the 2010 M8's today and it is the best sled A.C. has produced yet. After riding all the previous models the sled walks all over them. They are extremely responsive and signifigantly outperform the previous models. The guys who had the 2009's were turning out were the 2010's were hooking up and packing the mail. This sled definetly makes up for what the other models were lacking. Arctic Cat made it right for 2010.

Coming from a 2001 RMK since it was new, I'm as happy as a pig in S about my new 09 M8. Still, it is great to hear that AC continues to advance even beyond 09. Great news!

Took out a 153 m8 2010 today and I think everyone there was impressed. It made a stock 08 m8 with 162 power claw and a 163 09 dragon 800 look silly on the hill today. Responsive motor, felt light and the seat was a hit.

I am still extatic about the new 2010's M8's after riding them. Cant wait to get mine next year. The response the sled has is amazing and the way it pulls makes it a must have for next year.

MY deposit on one of these bad boys will be made this coming week, the day after the Snow Show here in ID. :-)

Love reading these posts, I haven't gotten the chance, and won't get the chance to demo one, but these posts make me more excited about my spring ordered 2010 M8 LE. :beer;

You guys are killing us 09 buyer's here! :beer;

To try to rationalize buying the 09 for the smoking deals (under $8,000) many of us were able to get, I guess I (we) can afford to spend $1,000 in porting and head work to get to 2010+ horse power. Heck, if you believe SLP, the pipe alone puts a guy at 159 hp. Add porting and a head (or head work) and you are at least in the 170s.

The problem is, when we start modifying our engines, we for the most part blow our warranties by doing so.

Kudos to Cat for stepping up to the plate.

You know I just completed the slp performance package and it works awesome but in all honesty I would say my engine is now around 160-165hp. I ran the slp pipe for most of the year and I would say it's a good 8hp gain but no 15. I would say about a 15hp gain with the porting and pipe combined. The package does work awesome but some dyno numbers are way to high in my opinion. From what I hear the porting and pipe on the 09 put it up to about the stock 2010 hp. Oh well I really enjoy my 09 with the porting now, made the engine much snappier and funner to ride.
