I have known this....the damn media and stupid politicians lost this war. The US military prevails! You prevailed brotha! I am proud to have met you on this forum! Thank you for your service in Vietnam! Thank you for fighting communism!

General Giap was a brilliant, highly respected leader of the North Vietnam military. The following quote is from his memoirs currently found in the Vietnam war memorial in Hanoi:

'What we still don't understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender!

It was the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media was definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields. We were ready to surrender. You had won!'

General Giap has published his memoirs and confirmed what most Americans knew. The Vietnam War was not lost in Vietnam -- it was lost at home. The exact same slippery slope, sponsored by the US media, is currently well underway. It exposes the enormous power of a biased media to cut out the heart and will of the American public.

A truism worthy of note: Do not fear the enemy, for they can take only your life.? Fear the media far more, for they will destroy your honor.

Hey Slut, I just saw this and you posted it a month ago. Thank you very much for the appreciation. Not too many on this forum have your honesty, integrity and appreciation of those who have served in combat regardless of the popularity of the war they fought in. It is appreciated more than you can ever imagine.

I think I posted a new thread with part of what you posted here about the NVA General. The media is without a doubt one of our greatest enemies.

Even our enemies could/can see what's happening...... I find that when I don't watch the news all day, my attitude is much better. But then again, is it better to be uneducated about what's happening or worry yourself to death by what is happening??

I can't get started on this one, there isn't enough time in my day. LBJ, Tricky Dicky, Kama river truck factory in Russia, Russians on the UN commitee all operations had to be cleared through as this was a UN operation. Americas finest arriving home to the likes of Jane Fonda and Bill Ayers, Henry Kissenger and zibignew Brazinsky, the UN in the congo and on and on and on. I need to log off and forget this till I have more time and silver bullets. Swampy:mad::mad::face-icon-small-sad

I have the upmost respect for all the proud Americans that will stand up for our rights and fight for this great country!!! If the rest of us would stand up to the media, We might get the USA back on the right track!!!
