Decent riding in the Monarch/Salida area?

I'm moving to the Salida area next year, and I did a guided tour there last week. It was a definitely something I can see myself doing more, but I'm not sure if I want to travel more than an hour or so to get to decent riding. What's everyone's opinion on the riding around Monarch Pass? Worth buying a sled for?

Yea lots of riding around that area. Get a sled you wont regret it. I have one for sale in the polaris swap meet if you are looking .

Interested to know this as well. Can someone list off some areas around Monarch or Salida that have good riding? Doubt I'll make it this but would be good knowledge for next year. Always wanted to ride down there.
