Decemeber looks depressing

Here in So. Oregon the forecast is showing one 4 day period of rain with low enough temps, then one 4 day stretch with rain but 2 of them the temps are too high. So not looking like we will be off trail until next year sometime. BUMMER! Sure am gald I didn't get a new sled this year 
Relax. These are just probabilities. A 30% chance of above normal temps is what?? Dang, it'll be 30 degrees instead of 20... Thirty percent probability of precip mean on less daily snowfall.

December can't be anymore depressing than November. I took that photo yesterday afternoon. That's the west side of the La Plata Mountains, and the peak of the left side is Hesperus Mt., a 13,000 foot peak. Quite the "snowpack" we have here in southwest CO.
Yeah this has to be the worst start we've ever had in Colorado
I remember 11/12 being my worst winter since moving from MN in 07'. So I looked up satellite imagery data to compare. Yikes...
May be taking trips up north more this year.
Edit.. Early Dec. may not mean much...2007 was worse than this year's start and went on to set records. I'll hold out some hope. 07/08 we nearly forgot what the sun looked like in Crested Butte.

You guys kicked our butts last year in montana. We barely could get out and ride locally until mid dec. Even then it was super thin and sketchy. This year we've been lucky enough to get some early season goods.

No kidding. Last year, I never pulled the rope until after New Years.
Usually, I have a road ride (or three) in by Thanksgiving.
