Decal removal

heat gun works pretty well.

Ronsonol lighter fluid works real well for removing the gummy mess left behind. Doesn't leave residue like WD40 does.

Heat up the decals with a heat gun or blow dryer and peel off when they feel like they are loosening up.

Blow dryer on high. A heat gun may do more damage than you want, especially if you aren't that experienced using one. I keep a blow dryer in the shop for that purpose. I do know how to use a heat gun but a blow dryer works just as well in most cases and you won't melt/burn anything.

ditto that. I tried a heat gun on mine, it got to hot and the decals just melted and ripped. Better luck with a blow drier on low-med.

keep lots of beer handy it's a long process.

Blow dryer for the sticker itself... and then Goo Gone / Goof Off for the sticky **** left behind if there is any.

Definitely comes in handy for removing each seasons registration stickers. LOL

;)

I use a heat gun on low myself, you just need to pay attention to what your doing. I have tried a rubber eraser wheel on a cordless drill too, works well but you can melt the crappy paint on the hood! better left for automotive applications, 3M has a adhesive remover that works wonders for the glue and residue.

Decal remover

We used sticker on/off, and a blow dryer. It worked really well. I think I ordered the sticker on & sticker off from the sportsmansguide.com. I spent around $12 including shipping and had in just a few days. Spray the sticker off on the entire sticker your trying to remove and make sure you apply it evenly. You know it's ready to go when the edges to start to peel back. Pull real slow and evenly (2nd set of hands would be helpful) and it should come right off. Clean the area really well and spray the sticker on evenly again accross the new decal and your ready to go. Ya just need a lot of patience and don't get in a hurry.

Either a heatgun or the sun. I used the sun, and it worked like a charm. maybe a bit late for that now..

hair dryer........peel off............wd40 for the residual adhesive.........little bit of soapy water to clean it all up.

Just an FYI on this, I used goo gone on my black side panels to remove the residue, and it left cloudy whiteish marks on my panels that would not come off with anything, but was fine on the hood part, time eventually took it away after a season. I had heard goo gone can do this from others on the type of plastic ski-doo uses for the side panels, although maybe there is a few different types of the goo gone out there.

Another vote for the wife's blow dryer.
Heat the decal and use a plastic putty knife or even a credit card to remove sticker.

they won't take a trade in unless it has decals?

Never have I seen the sticker package, or lack there of, effect the price?

Thanks.

So now I just have to apply 8Hunnert numbrs over the 503 and those six's!:)
