DD, routine maintenance...gotta love it

removed for inspection, it seems the center gear stack has some slack

its hard to tell if the retaining ring came off first or the pancaked thrust bearing?

i'll call BDX and see what minimal parts i can get......fun fun fun

everything was cleaned and wire brushed for better visual inspection..them black hot spots are gone, lol

reverese basket got worked, some minimal grinding should get back to newish

notice the new groove that came from this gearset floating and grinding on the reverse basket shaft.

Stuff that is suspect

cheap bearing, looks ok, but its best i replace, whats the NAPA part # for this one?

Dang bro that sucks , were you just doing routine maintenance or did it start making grinding noise. I wonder how many of us have some of the same problems and don't know it. Isn't this a warranty issue ?

What year DD is this? How many miles? I have both a 2008 and a 2010 that I need to keep an eye on.....
