I have an 06 and 07 I changed the oil in the dd and is there a better way to drain the oil to were its not making a mess in the belly pan under the secondary. I havent done the 06 but I think it drains on the track side?

I just tipped my 07 up on its side after removing the side panel to drain my DD oil. The mess I just mopped up with a butt-load of blue towels and brake cleen
i just put a bucket under the holes were the secondary is in the belly pan it wasnt bad but I thought there has to be and easier way than getting oil in the belly pan.
Take the diamond drive unit out of the sled and there is no mess when you change the oil. A bit more work but not that difficult!
I just tip it and take the outside half off. This way I can pull out what gears I can and soak up all the oil. Then put the new oil in and bolt the cover back on. This way I get to inspect my gears and bearings very closly. More peace of mind for myself.
remove it. its simple and you can rinse case out completely and know theres no gook left in it any where.
