Longlugs, What are you planning on powering from this?
There is a connector in the hood harness near the gauge.
The 2A fuse is in the main harness bag at the front of the clutch cover.
I just checked in with my contacts at Polaris.
AXYS-Mtn sleds have a fused 2amp connector on them.
Maybe someone can chime in with pics of the connector And the fuse??
.
About 5 amp max for all my accessories. But all the accessories will not work at the same time and not continuously. What is the amp draw of the light(s) you plan to run?
So if I understand correctly, if I remove the 2 amp fuse, the system as I have drawn it can work I imagine. The dc pwr wire comes directly from the stator, I wanted to protect it by including a fuse. The only role of the dc pwr wire is to give me some charge on the battery while driving.I'm not confident that it would work as you have it written. The factory electric start system should have the power regulator before the battery so it is being charged with a narrow voltage range. You would need some kind of choke device to limit the power demand from the stator to cap it at 2 amps. The way I read it, there is nothing to keep that fuse from popping as soon as that 5 amp load is triggered on. On a vehicle, the battery is typically just used to start the engine, the power generating device needs to provide juice for all needs plus a safety margin. You aren't anywhere close to that at this time.
