Dayco XTX belt

I've been using the same belt, XTX5020, all last season and this season. Just put a new belt on tonight see if I notice any difference. The old belt was performing perfectly as far as I can tell.

I tested it when it came out....blew it out in 250 mountain miles....buy the 115 polaris belt. I have over 20000 mountain miles on this belt and blew 1 apart.

Just order up the Cat belt that is a direct fit, part # 0627-048. These are around $80 and last as well or better than the overpriced Poo belt. I ran them on my '13 and have my spare for the '14 under the hood.

First I would try not to run any belt for 2000 miles. Second I have had good luck with the Carlisle XS belt. I would think the Dayco XTX would be just as good. The reason I stuck with the Carlisle XS when measuring they are sized the same. I can pull the stock polaris belt off and stick the carlisle on with out the need to adjust the secondary or shim. For the price I get them for I can run 2 or more for the price of 1 polaris belt. The OEM's farm out the belts to the same guys who make them for aftermarket.

I have been testing the Gates 44C4553. So far it has exceeded my expectations. I have ran it just shy of 400 mi. I will report again at 800 mi.

Thank you for that post! I will have to do that next time I need a spare

Picked up the same belt myself. Have not tried it yet. For a third of the price of the Polaris belt could be a great option. Have to try it this weekend.

Just went and looked at mine, it is a G instead of a c but same numbers. Difference?

The G belt is the cheaper one that uses a normal cord like the factory belt. The C belt uses a carbon cord instead.

G Belt

Chris,
What is the retail price on the Carbon belt?
Edit:
Dobeck Performance cannot post here, so I called them for their 44C4553 belt price.$90.36 for the Carbon belt from Dobeck. They list for $180.

That list price sounds like the list for a Polaris belt, the GForce Carbon lists for $123.95.

I've had good luck with the Carlisle XS belts, nearly 1,000 miles on a 900 shaker has me sold.

Hey Tony,

Does this mean the gates 44c4553Carbon has the TRS seal of approval for TRS clutching?

Thinking about heading out to come see you in the next couple of weeks. You still standing on the corner with a sandwich board?

Yes I am standing on the corner. Headed to Alpine Monday with my sandwich board :) Give me a call. I am headed home from WI today.

The $90.36 is correct for the 44C4553. That is still a great price.

Edit:
Found list prices on the net from $173.10 down to $123.95
