Is anyone else sick of hearing that this gal made the Daytona 500? Yeah right!!!! they bought their way in! Sure NASCAR rules allow it, but if it was me I would not be proud of making it in that way. My guess is ol Tony knew there wasn't a snowballs chance in that she could do it by qualifying. I hope to see her crash out of it by lap 30. Oh and Jr. also! Those two are the most over hyped drivers in NASCAR history

Where did I say it was ok for others to do it but not her????? Answer, nowhere. As a matter of fact I think the top 35 in points deal at any race is BS. The only gaurantee there should be for getting in the race is that you are fast enough. The media is making a big deal of her making it into the 500. She did not make it in, Tony bought her way in. There is way more talent out there without rides than she has. She is marketing only!!!!!! Look at the facts, the only race she won in indy car was because of a fuel gamble. She was a 5th place runner consistantly. Kind of like JR.

Couldn't care less about what you said she has. Fact is she is marketing and marketing only. She would not be there if it was for any other reason! I'll go out on a limb and say she will not win a Sprint cup race in her career with the exception of rain or fuel gamble. I will also say if she wins the 500 this year and is pushed there by either Stewart Newman or any of the Hendrick camp, I may never watch a NASCAR race again. Because that will prove it is all about money. Who was it that said here NASCAR is WWF on wheels? Nationwide she may be able to pull a legit win off there but that would surprise me also. If you were a racer would you want your first Daytona 500 start remembered with an asterick that said. Had to buy her way into the race? Be honest.
And to answer your other question. I think you need to watch Brad Kesolowski. He will get Penske their first Sprint cup championship.

If she were pushed to a victory by a team mate, the win would be no different than Mike Waltrip being pushed to victory by Jr while Sr blocked the rest of the field.
Waltrip has/had no more driving ability than Patrick....that's why we have plate racing.....the under-funded or under talented teams can pull off a win.

Her marketability is not the only reason she is there. She can drive. Best nope but she is actually a better driver that some of the guys out there. Junior more than likely wouldn't be on a team if his father wasn't in the sport and if he didn't get that last name. He is there because fans love the name and having him on your team, he pays for himself.
