His comments in that statement do seem to be the same type of thinking I hear from other liberals in our state, especially our Governor. I have some good friends that I could sadly see making a similar statement. It worries me very much.

Many of my relatives live east of St Cloud and say the same thing. I loved growing up in Minnesota (1965-1983) but joined the USAF and now I don't think I could live there again. I just had to grow up with the embarassing Walter Mondale for president (he won one state...MN) era. Minnesota has historically been a Dem state (with super high taxes), but all the workers claim to be Republican and want less taxes. My family "up north" call the twin city folks citiots (city+idiots), and St Cloud is becoming another land of citiots. Sad to see such a beautiful state being overrun!

Only State Mondale won.... Shocker.. I love a lot about this state, lakes, seasons etc. But I hate seeing what these Politicians have done to MN. There is also a lot I dislike too.. IE Taxes, Dems etc. If my wife did not have such close ties with her family, we would have been out of here years ago..

St. Cloud, boy where do I start... In recent years there has been a huge influx in immigrants to that area. It has created a huge mess. I would not classify in with the Citiots, they are in a class of their own.. Worse IMO..

If you want to see where MN is heading, look to what is going on in Minneapolis at the moment. Pretty sad that a small group of people can change the whole landscape of a state... Glad I have a cabin in the north woods.. I can hang out up there with the rest of the "normal" cidiots that venture there..

Minnesota is home to Polaris, Arctic Cat, TEAM, Dennis Kirk, Hay Days, FAST, Silbur Turbo, Skinz, 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing) Mall of America, Honeywell, Pillsbury, Cargill, Green Giant, General Mills, Medtronic, Red Wing Shoes, Duluth Pack (1882) , Andersen Windows (1903) , Best Buy, Target, Twins, Vikings, Wild, Timber Wolves, Lynx. Oh and of course the Mayo Clinic (1864). MN is always rated on top in education and quality of life. Yeah, we do have problems, but I believe we are doing very well. So if it is so terrible here, the above mentioned company's would have left. As would their employees, AKA tax payers.
