Looking at getting Dan Adams bars, how much more room is there in the control area, vs. stock? Want to cut 1" off each side, and woundering if the stock controls will still work? And what grips and heaters that you're using, stock?

I'm not sure how much more room there is than stock, but I cut a half inch off mine and had plenty of room left n the bars. I'm ou of town for three weeks or I'd go measure for ya. I re-used the stock grips, hooks, and heaters. Last sled I did the RSI heaters and grips. I like stock better. It's a touch skinnier and cleaner looking.

I cut an inch off mine and there was plenty of room left for the stock controls. Used new bar heaters. Love those bars. I am 6'4" and I used a 2" riser with them.

Since you used a riser, whats the advantage of changing bars vs just cutting the stock one?

Thanx guys, I'm 6' going to try with no riser,if I don't like it I got a 1" in the pill of sled parts I got that I will just put on.

If I was 5' 6" I think I would try the rsi Brandt bars, there 2" lower, should be good.

Hello guys sorry to jump off topics here.
I am 5' 6". What bars would you recommend for my height. I was thinking about just angling the stock bars back. and for cutting them Not sure. I know on my dirt bikes KTM I cut off a full two inches and put bars in the closet to saddle position. I have a 13 pro.

Do the burandt bars for sure. I am 5'9" and did bar very similar to the burandt but slightly different because the Burandts were out of stock. They are night & day better than the pro tapers.

Yeah that's why I was curious if anyone knew if they had different bends, taper, height, ect. than the stock pro tapers. They look very similar from what I've seen.

snoblind the DA bars are swept back a little more than stock and they are "flatter". No upsweep at all. Super easy to cut with the marks already on the bars and there is more room for the controls than the stock bars. The stock height is about right for me at my height so that's why I did the riser. Tried no riser, 1" and the 2" which fit me perfect.

You mean his Pro Tapers with an RSI crossbar pad with his signature white and blue checkerboard pattern? That's what I saw at puyallup.

The RSI KC bars are straighter; by approx 3deg. its amazing how a few deg can totally change the feeling of a handlebar.

That's impressive... I'm 6'4/5 and I still have the pro tapers and a 4" rise just to keep my back happy

Can a guy use the RSI risers on the Dan Adam's bars? They're the same diameter as the burandt bars bars right? So they should work?

Question for any one with Dan Adam bars, how much lower are they then stock, I've read 1.75", 1.5",3/4" lower, so what is it? Thanx.

Just got a email reply from next level thy said 3/4" lower. Strange,
