Dalton helix angles = Same as Doo???

Are Dalton angles measured the same as Doo formula helixes, or is there a difference, like HRP/ Black Ice helix's ??

No there not measured the same. Skidoo measures theres different than the other guys. I have a sheet some from Black ice the told. Ill see if I can find it.

Thanks. If you could find that info would be great. I seem to remember that there is about 4* difference for the Black Ice. A 50* Doo would be like a 46* Ice. I'm wondering if Dalton's are similar.

This is quoted right from Black Ice helix

"HRP Black Ice cams need to be 8 less angle than Skidoo OEM cams to keep the same RPM.

HRP Helix cams are measured at the outside dia. of the ramp angle which is similar to most after market and Polaris OEM cams but Skidoo and some aftermarket cams are measured in the center of the ramp which results in a different angle (4 more) than at outside dia. Due to these different sizing and measureing techniques HRP can only suggest our angle size as compared to OEM cams and can no longer recommend a size to replace any other aftermarket cam."

Heres a good quote.

"All HRP cams are permanently stamped with sizes on inside surface. We're selling clutch tuning parts NOT secrets"
