The white one is a Dall.
There are NO Dall Sheep in Montana.

The other one is a Rocky Mtn Big Horn. That is a BIG ram, but I seriously doubt that's a Montana ram. Sage and lowland rams?

They should hold the guy down with the pony tail in the last photo, cut it off. What a dork. Puff...puff...puff...

We have Bighorn's behind my place in the elkhorns, similar country, but doubt it is in Montana

suppose to be the Montana Super Tag Ram--what ever that is

Dont worry Darrell, Scott................he aint too bright, so explaining things to him can be rather difficult. Its best to just let him talk like he knows what he's talking about

Right Scott? :)

Super Tag is a tag that anyone can put in for as many times as they want to for $5 a chance and can be used in anywhere in the state of montana. And if my memory serves me right that ram was shot in the breaks this year.

I have heard of Breaks rams, but have never seen one. Didn't realize there was a huntable population.

Disco, the Elkhorns are Nowhere near what them breaks are, you better be in shape if you want to play hunter out in these sticks. LOL!

the ponyboy is a state champ archer too disco.:)puff...puff...:face-icon-small-hap

Zing Productions (out of Bozeman) took a very nice Ram in the breaks. Its on the cover of their DVD. The breaks justs devolop amazing animals....Wouldnt be suprised if that Ram came from that area.

breaks rams are huge and hes right you better be in shape and hope thge he77 it don't rain while you are in there, huge muleys and elk, limited tags, basicly a once in a lifetime tag when you get one, know they are going to limit archery elk tags too

They have been reintroducing sheep into lots of different areas and when you mix genetics of sheep they tend to grow bigger horns for a few years.Does any one know what that bighorn scored?

them Sheep have been there just like them Lions, for 70+ years!
so I disagree...

Im not saying that they havent been there for 70 years. Im just saying montana transplants other sheep into different herds from diff. areas in the state and when they do that the genetic make up changes and that is how you get big horns on sheep.
