D&R Kits for 08-10 Dragons/RMK

Lack of snow has me thinking about summer projects early. I am considering doing a D&R on my 09 Dragon 163. Holz kit just drops 5/8" and the Fastrax drops 3/4" and rolls back 1". Do both kits perform about the same? Is one better than the other? Was it worth the effort in terms of an improvement in track/skid performance? I would be using the stock track. Thanks.

I went with Holz so i could run the 2.5 camo ext to its full potential on my Assault. Seems to work well. Knowing fastrax i'm sure there kit rocks as well.

I am in process of instaling the Fastrax kit this week and according to everything I have heard it does wonders for these sleds. Ask AKSNOWRIDER about the difference in his friend Doug's sled after the FTX d-n-r. I addition to the d-n-r, the FTX kit modifies your rear suspension geometry to help with the over transfer that these sleds do in stock form. I will report back after I get sled on snow, but, Kurt's kit and instructions are top notch and Kurt is a great guy to work with, he will spend hours on the phone to help you without even having met. Heck, he spent about an hour on the phone discussing polaris mods with me, before I even bought a single thing from the guy!!!! I can't speak of Holz as I have never dealt with them. But, mad love for FASTRAX!

Curt is great, I have bought my Exit skid and front shocks from him this season. His advise on other stuff has been invaluable, thanks Curt. As far as ,the D&R goes. I am just looking for feedback on what guys have done and now rode with. I may not even bother with one, may not be worth the money for an old guy like me to see the difference?????:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-coo

I am just finishing up a fastrax D&R. I would be done but when I went to reinstall the drive shaft I discovered that it was bent. So now I wait for a new and improved one from fastrax. We have slow mail up here. It was kind of fun to install but not for the novice. You are going to want a good shop with air tools and a working knowledge of how to chop up aluminum.
