C&T machine ? I know those guys, I will go ask. Thanks Jacob

Do they replate here or send them off? Having a local place to replate would be super nice.

I think Boss is talking about Clegg Machine. They are on the corner of Center and Geneva in Orem. The owners are snowmobilers too! Both Cleggs and C&T are great machine shops. I don't think either of them replate cylinders though. We send out cylinders off to Millennium Technologies in WI to get nicasil plated. I've been told that there are only a couple of companies in the nation that actual replate cylinders. Not sure if it is true or not, but I'd love to know if there is a local company that can re-nic.

C T automotive was the place I was thinking about. But was mistaken, they do not re nic cylinders...

Nobody locally will re-nic cylinders. Best you can get is an exchange. There are a number of places that will do a straight swap with you depending on the cylinder.

Most all of the replating facilities are in the upper northeast.
They all send them off to get done. Seems about a 2 week or so turnaround.

alright, It just seams to me that someone on here earlier this year was advertising that there was now a place in Utah for this service. As for a swap, its a CPC big bore jug so I am going to have to send it off and wait for it to return. I talked to millennium today and can get it fixed for $250 plus shipping.
Just for fun here is a pic of the damage.

I have seen an add on ksl classifieds for replating in the ogden area. Look in the snowmobile parts section. If this is true, it would be very very nice.

Its Patrick at 4 seasons powersports in ogden that is advertising cylinders. Its just swap or send out. He is not actually plating. JJ Machinery in springville will do the same. I have had great service from Jeremy. Rebuilt my crank top notch.

I will ask him, my crank is there right now. If he can get me a discount (under the $250 i was quoted by millennium) I might have him send it off.

This is Patrick at 4 Seasons Powersports. I just came across this thread and thought I would add to the conversation. As it was mentioned before we don't actually plate in house, but if your in need of a cylinder we certainly do offer an advantage over alot of the other dealers. In most cases we can have your cylinder in 4 business days rather than the 2 weeks you typically wait if you send off to millenium yourself. Our charge for single cylinders is $235 rather than the $245 you would typically pay Millenium for a weld and re=plate with shipping and you don't have to wait as long :)

Also thought I would mention that we are rebuilding crankshafts in house, so don't hesitate to call.

On a side note I have done business with Jeremy at JJ Machinery and he is a nice guy. I know sometimes guys in the business like to go back and forth and things can get ugly. I definitely don't want that to happen. I have a different philosophy. There is plenty of room for healthy competition and I'm just one option out there. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask.
