cylinder numbers ?

have an apex, trying to get my boost it fuel system installed and need to know what cylinder is #1...... the yamaha service manuals say that cylinder number one is on the right side (when sitting on it) so opposite the clutch side..... i would have thought cylinder #1 was closest to the clutches, are the books right ?

Yes it right , #1 is on the oil tank side.

#1 is on clutch side,look at the plug wires they are numbered
