all you tripple lovers and guru"s chime in! the problem is i pulled my 2000 xcr 800 off the trailer to get ready for the season.got it in the shop and it was locked up soild! (this is where the blood started to boil) i fogged it like every other two stroke that i have had or serviced at the shop.let it warm up a bit and was able to start to move the clutch abit,so i pulled the plugs, pipes and drain plugs.i got some water out of the center and mag cylinders.then of came the carbs, intake boot's and reed's.water had gotten through the cover and a tarp in the last big rain storm we had and entered the intake and went down from there.the rust line was about 1/2 inch up the side of the crank wheel in both side's,so i don't think that any got on the crank bearing's.as far as i came tell there was no rust on the rod's.i cleaned and flushed every thing out and then blow dried it clean.then i turned it over and could not feel anything bad other then the magnets and rod transition, there was a bearing sqweak at one point but after some heavy oiling on the rods and in the case the sqweak went away .put it back together and started it to hear a tick like a fuel injecter.at first i though it was a rod knock, but i toke a scope and put it on the case at each cyl.to hear rolling noise, that could be normal after all it is moveing. there was louder noise at the water pump, but it is also moveing.the noise dose not get louder when reved up,but kind of go's away.any help would be awsome.i just don't remember that tick, but it has been some month's since i heard it last due to summer.thank's
