Cutting/extending AFR wiring

I'm relocating some gauges and may need to cut/extend some wiring on my AEM AFR gauge. What do you guys think of this? Will it mess anything up with readings?
I would like to extend the wiring directly from the sensor so I can just unplug the factory connector to remove my hood. (The gauges will be installed on the hood).
This has been discussed before but I can't find any real conclusions.

I cut mine when I first installed it no problems.

Just keep the wiring the same (ie green to green, white to white, etc) and I used solder connections with double shrink wrap, and I haven't had any trouble.

You might look into a Bosch style connector to use for removing your hood. They're more weather resistant than other connectors.

as long as they are good soldered joints and sealed up your good to go. done many of them with no issues.
