Was wanting to put the Mountain Addiction Track Rack on my 2009 M8 153, but they say it needs 10" of room. Well, with the mud flap and light that is on it already, there is only 8. Is there a custom mud flap with an LED light system that I could purchase so this would fit? Or any home made ideas?? Pictures would be great thanks!

Kind of suprised it won't fit. Personally I would probably get a shorter seat. Do you have the snow check boss seat or the stock one?

I got the stock seat, but maybe I'll just get the 2010. Is the boss one longer or shorter? And its the dang light on it, its got a lot of plastic around it.

Heres mine

Point of reference: Snowmobiles don't have mud flaps, they have snowflaps (unless maybe you're mud boggin yours). Hmmm. now that I think about it, it would be intersting to see how well you could mud bog a sled. Anybody ever tried that?

on the 09 the flap is useless, on the trail all the snow shoots out under the flap. So just get rid of it and safe yourself the trouble of digging around it and smashing your fingers. I ran mine for over 800 miles, works great and never got hot, even on some crap snow. then I took the stock tail light and mounted it on the 45* at the back of the tunnel. No money spent and works great. You have to put a spacer between the tunnel and tail light for wire clearance.

I think it looks much better that way too.......but I bet people love following you down a trail!

Your mudflap works just like mine. People that follow you just think it's snowing a lot.

Down the trail was no different, all the snow flies right out under the bottom of the flap. next time your riding with someone that has a PC just watch it the flap doesn't catch any of the rooster.

The stock 09 flap is heavy as well, and a Betch when your stuck.

My snow flap worked good until i get off the trail, then its f'ed for the rest of the trip. So for this year i cut it a little shorter and put some straps on the back side so it don't stick straight out all time...man that looks stupid

If you look at the center of the flap under the bumper there is a hump that is supossed to keep it away from the bumper so you can still get a grab on it when stuck.
But wait until your stuck and pick up in the middle of the bumper and set it down as the flap catches snow folding it up and the hump pinches your fingers and you ride a whole day with a sore swollen hand.

once you loose it you'll never go back, can't believe i spent years digging that thing out because everyone says you can't take it off or you'll overheat. i guess they should try it before they knock it;)
