custom airbox anybody tried it???

Iam wondering if anybody has made a real airbox that actually clamps onto the TB's the factory one is a joke really no reason to even run one even sealed the part where it meets the TB's is such a cheap pos design.

I wouldnt mind a lil HP loss as long as i knew i wasnt sucking in debris any reason why i couldnt build a aluminum box simular to the factory plastic and put the sensor in it???

why run the sensor when turbo sleds dont??

are you referring to the two piece 08' design or the 1 piece 09 design?

I want something that seals to the throttle bodys like most older boxs the pos part where it slips together down at the throttle bodys still allows a crapload of debris in. my box has been sealed since new but it still dont seal good enough i dont get big stuff just belt dust ect

IMO your best option is finding a 1 piece 09 airbox and sealing it up.

so the 09 airbox has two holes for the tb's or does it still have the peice that stays on the tb's when you take the airbox out???

exactly....the entire airbox comes out. its not a two piece design...it has two rubber grommets for the throttle bodies

if you look it up under an oem parts diagram you will see what im talking about

you cant even buy the 08 two piece design anymore.

its an updated part and can only be purchases as the 09 one piece design

I'll add the that the '09 box also has clamps on the TB boots to hold it and seal it onto the TBs.
