Current Big Horns Conditions

Anyone there this past weekend? Any pics? places to go? places to avoid? Overall snow conditions? Heading there Friday morning...

Just got back. I had a blast stuck all the time, the trees is where its at.

I just got home myself from there, sorry no pics yet because I had to work today, but on Friday the snow was the great!!!! Strong is right the trees had lots of powder and we were getting stuck all the time!! Dont go north of Bear, we did on Sat. only the trees had good snow all the rest was hard pack and sucked, the farther south we went the more the powder and not even in the trees. We left on Sat afternoon, they were supposed to get more snow on Sunday, but I dont know after that. Check out there website http://www.bearlodgeresort.com/ and click on the webcam also, it isnt always new but you can usally tell how much snow they have.

Rode Monday the 23rd. Went north out of bear, didnt find the best snow but still had a good time. We found better snow on friday going more north/west of bear. Found some good tree riding and a few good creeks and cornices to jump. Didnt take many pictures but i think every time i go up it is getting better. Snowed some last night, but not sure how much. Just gotta ride where the wind has blown all the snow and it is deep there in some spots mostly on north slopes. Dont know if any of you have ever been down dry fork, but we ventured over there yesterday and not quite as much snow in there. Looks like some more snow thursday night and then next week as well. Planning on going to arrowhead this weekend with some friends.

thanks for the info...we are heading up friday morning, staying in sheridan then riding saturday up by bear. Do you know any where in Sheridan to get wyoming non-resident tags?

Any of the dealerships in town should have them and u can also purchase them at bear lodge, I was up sun and it was the best so far this winter

Not sure how well you know sheridan, but i bought mine at Hando's Polaris on dry ranch road. Big Horn Power Sports a yamaha dealer just down the way from them will have them as well. There is a BRP dealer down on 5th street, Valley Motor Honda i believe they are an arctic cat dealer as well, but was in there last friday and didnt see any of their sleds, they mainly push ski doo. I had a buddy tell me that you can get them from wal mart as well probably in the sporting goods section. And if you dont mind getting it on the mountain Arrowhead, Elk View and Bear Lodge all have tags as well. Stop by and say hello if you see me up there.

Well up at bear right now, the wind has been screaming today. Blown clear down to the dirt/grass some of the open places. Not good, I'm guessing the powder is down in the snowies by now, lol. Can still find some decent stuff deep in the trees and little pockets but you have to do some looking. Will post pictures over in the main thread when we get home.

X2 on everything u said except valley dropped artic cat last year and there is no cat dealer currently in Sheridan, closest one is a hour away

Grabbed tags at valley...still had SOME arctic cat stuff..oil, grease etc.
Anyways we are in sheridan, headed up to bear in the morning. 12 turbo pro, 11 turbo m8, 06 m7...say hello if anyone sees us there..

Went today found a few little pockets but nothing really good the snow once u break thru is super surgery
