cummins no start

Do you have a chip/module on this truck? IF so, try unplugging it and going back to stock, see if the problem continues. Does it turn over, just doesnt flash up, or no turnover either. good luck

How are your batterys? How cold is it? if you have one weak battery and or both are a tad weak and its cold it will turn over but not fire up. If its an 06 with original batterys then I would bet thats the issue...those batterys are knocking on 4 years old...and I have never had a diesel battery last that long...

its back to stock it turns over but dosent even fire no codes or nothing comming up even boosting it nothing going to put in new batteries anyway its not cold at all its in a shop thanks for the help

My buddy's truck was doing the same thing,(not saying to do this)but we sprayed some ether to it, started and got use home, his injectors were bad 2005 cummins.

Dont spray ether unless you pull the grid heater. do you have fuel @ the rail?cracking it a bit @ idle won't hurt anything.if your rail has fuel then the injectors solenoid should be popping the injectors....If you don't have fuel which is my guess than it could be as easy as a fuel filter or fca issue.be sure to check all fuses relating to the fuel system.

what do you mean "back to stock"?

Ive seen some bullydog downloaders screw up some ECM's before!

We had one come in the other day. No start. Fuel shut off selonoid has a rubber boot. The rubber boot was torn and was bindind the shaft. Found a different boot, and cured this problem. Just one more thing to check.

hey man that sucks we own a salvage yard and a car lot and deal mostly with mopar stuff and alot of cummin's iam a cummins fanantic and they got horrible injectors iam just saying thats most likely your problem but its usally only one injector. so if you take the truck to your mechanic and they tell you its injectors its usally only one injectors that takes a dump so dont be paying out the arse for all 6 new injectors they scam people all the time with this. you can have them tested for $15-30ea and stay away from tuners that have alot of rail pressure

On the common rail motors with a no start condition, you can cap each line on the rail one at a time, then crank the engine each time, when you cap the bad injector it will start and run on 5. you can buy the cap "tool" or make one your self. Easy way to locate your problem if everything else checks out, fuel pressure, electrical etc.. Any questions you can call me at 507-533-6674, Thanks Terry

Post the results of the cp3 change, my 05 is doing the same thing intermitently, I,ll fiddle around for a few hours and it will just start and run great for a few days. It,d be interesting to just change the fca before the entire pump ( which comes with a new fca ) to see what happens.

Last one I had in the shop with a no start was an 03. Diagnosed down to the injectors. Pulled them and tested and and all injectors were shot. One injector flowed as much ml as all six should. Worst was 230ml. That was one instance were capping the line to verify does'nt work, but 90% of the time it does. I had put a new crate motor in for them 60,000 before but later got a hole in the fuel tank and neglected to fix until later and dirt got the injectors.

need to pop the hood and lossen the radiator cap then jack the cap up... then drive a duramax under it lower then tighten should fix the problem....:face-icon-small-hap

A DuraTurd. Best to take one of them take off the CP3 an put it on a CUmmins and have a real engine.
