Here's a wild update for us all. State Parks might have to close Crystal springs snowpark to all users this weekend, It seems some very large power poles went down in the storms and they have a lot of damage down in the Lester area. There is no power running up to the Micro wave stations and the reserve generators are running low on propane. The trail up there has not been groomed due to problems going out twards tacoma pass. They have staged lots of equipment in the parking lot and are going to be flying the poles in and out of crystal springs with a helicopter. Not etched in stone but thats the latest. They dont want any liability issues with people in the lot. No Grooming except for up and over the top of stampede to get Potelco's equipment up there. I'll post more info as I get it. We just cant get a break up there this year, one problem after another. I'm sure they figure the power outage is more important than our recreating.

I talked to State Parks and they had short notice about what the communications company planned on doing so hopefully things can get back to "normal" after this weekend.

This is now on State Parks website:

UPDATE JANUARY 15:
Crystal Springs will be closed January 16 and 17 while Puget Sound Energy and multiple communication companies use Crystal Springs as a staging area for emergency repairs to Communication Towers on Snoqualmie Pass. Alternate Sno-Parks are Gold Greek, Kachess or Salmon La Sac.

Reload is closed also

The cabin creek road is closed , so there is no legal way to get to the snowpark. Cabin creek road is severly damaged we are told.
