cruise control??

hey guys i have been reading posts on here all day and can`t seem to find a good answer. i have a 2005 summit 800ho and i am have a cruise control like affect and can`t seem to figure it out. i have took the carb boots off twice and checked them over. i sprayed starting fluid behind my primary to check the crank seal. i currently have my carbs off and the sliders seem good. what is my next step??

Does the flipper shay depressed when you let up on it quickly? ie something as simple as cable routing or gunky, sticky throttle cable?.

:beer;My sled does the same thing,i belive it is related to the high idle that occures on most of these sleds, changing the piolt jets will help cure this if i understood correctly the post's i have read, larger pilot jets.

well i pulled it all apart today and threw in some 20 pilots. the sled seamed 95% better but it still did the cruise control once. is there any other seals that go bad in these motors?

i have 25 pilot jets in my 07 800R. Try jetting up on the pilots some more maybe. Also could be the DPM

my 05 rev X 800 is doing the same dam thing....I also changed my pilots to 20's checked and rechecked boots and cleaned the carbs still doing it. opened the feul screw 2 turns...still doin it. Is the cruise control thing the secondary hanging up maybe? idle will eventually kick down when throttle is punched while applying barke.....ideas??? it is frustrating :yell:

mine was doing the same and all i did was clean the cable conn at the carbs and throttle linkage then sprayed with wd-40,no more sticky throttle,

also checked secondary for roller screws backing out, open sheevz and roll over secondary, should be loctited.if you think secondary is hanging up.

Had the same problem on my 05 800. Shimed up the needles 20 tho., (Ya go up to far & MPG suffers) Synced and adjusted slides, (make sure they close completely and open the exact same time) Set fuel screws at 1.5 turns out, then adjust the idle screw as low as you can & keep it running. No more cruise.
