crossing over cutthroat ridge near washington pass?

has anyone ever done this or heard of anyone crossing over cutthroat ridge and then back down to hwy 20 heading east, as a way to bypass the washington pass slides? is it legal to ride there now that the heli ski opp is closed? i have been looking at it on google earth but the boundary lines are not named as far as wilderness or not.
it looks like it would not be to hard to gain the ridge top to the west of hinkhouse peak,(about 1/2 mile before the washington pass overlook turn off)

just looking for something different. if you don't know the area or have any real info to offer then please shut up.

If you're talking about going in via the Cutthroat Creek turnoff, that basin is where most of the Methow Valley locals go backcountry skiing on a regular basis. Not saying you can't make your own decision, but avoiding obvious user conflicts seems prudent given all the recent attempts to limit our access rights. That said, the lower part of the approach to that basin is also choked out with tight trees. It's very tight skiing on the way down, so I'm guessing it would be pretty hard to sled through as well.

Only rode back in there one time and several times at Harts pass.. Always thought it might be worth the effort to take a heli ride over the area and see if it could be ridden. I like riding over there.......
