Crossfire R Goes Powder

Finally got the R more to my liking.

Mod's

1.7 Back Country track
Powder pro ski's
Grip Racing ISO VIB
XP mountain strap
59/61 gears

I took this thing out over the weekend in some untouched 3-4 feet of pow and could not get it stuck for nothing! She hill climbs like a cat on steroids!
That's the Good!

Now the ugly!
I really don't think that CAT will be in the business much longer folks! I had to tear this machine down quite a bit as you would assume for the mods we put on her, and you would of thought a bunch of 5th graders put this thing together! I found missing nuts on the dd drive unit, stripped out bolts on the steer plate for the wire shield, Bolts turning with Zero accessability only on nut side, Gauge cluster crooked by 1/2", couple blocks not even, leaking gas cap, I could go on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is totally unexceptable for a 9,000.00 sled!

Never the less, Most if the issues are now corrected (by my doing). Oh and I forgot to mention I had a ball on it over the weekend!

I just bought my 2007 crossfire with zero miles on it and found some of the same problems from the factory that you did. My EGT gage almost burnt up on the pipe because it un-threaded itself, couple loose connections, bolts with loose nuts, yeah, same B.S. I do like the sled though. How did the gearing change help things out for ya? I'm converting mine to a 153 powerclaw and would like to know the difference it made.

Thanks!
