i have found a smokin deal on a brand new 1.25" ripsaw 144for my 06 sb 900 and im contemplating the pros and cons my sled will never see a mountain, i ride all trails and fields , i get out in the deep stuff if its available, i think its inevitable that im goin to stud wich ever track is on my sled. do you guys think it would be worth the $$ to switch out tracks? im kind of hesitant to stud the oem track due to its lack of lugs,i would be afraid at all to stud the rip saw! oh and the rip saw has every window cut out!

I don't think I will ever go back to a ripsaw. I have a fusion 121" and didn't like it. Good track on hard surface but bad floatation (although rarely get to find powder up north)they have Think they are over rated. I'd go with a cross country track. I went with the cobra. Love the cobra but have heard of them not lasting long but that ain't my concern. Last winter I was between the cross country track and the cobra. After seeing the profile of the cobra with the cups (cup like lug both forward and backward) went with it. Has awesome holeshot and braking from the cups.

i wouldnt buy a ripsaw, why not buy a 1.5? or higher? with the power these things have you need as much traction as possible.
