Crooked Creek / Lineshack Area

Hi all,

We have a group heading out and riding 1-21 to 1-24 and was wondering what the riding was like near these lodges. I realize the snow can be quite different from the Togwotee area. Thanks in advance for the help.

I am in a group heading out there this weekend. I will keep you posted on the conditions. Last I heard people were still having to take precautions to not run into saplings and rocks going off trail, but they have received a few storms since then.

Deep Snow

WE ARE HEADING OUT TO DUBOIS NEXT WEEKEND, CALLED A FRIEND LAST NIGHT WHO IS OUT THERE NOW AND HE SAID THE RIDING IS GREAT!
Not a lot of snow right in the Line Shack area, but as soon as you get up the hill it gets pretty deep. He talked about chest deep snow in spots.
Am sure looking forward to next week!

Just got back from this area last night. There is coverage in the area but nothing great in the immediate area. Head up the trail to where E and F meet or where CD and T meet for some deep powder and some great bowls. The trail rides up there are a little chewed up, but what can you expect. Short rides to get to the deep stuff with the benefit of having three lodges in a condensed area makes for some nice variety at night time.

Just got back from Line Shack trails were good going out. The medows were deep and the trees were even deeper. Snow close to trail is tracked up but not far back is good.

Conditions were awesome the third week of January. I've been watching the Togwotee cam since then and it seems like they just keep getting more snow, so it has to be pretty darn good out there.

I know a group that just came back from Togowtee on Fri 2/15 with one of the Nelson Tours. They said best of the best since they have been going. One of them it was his second trip out this year.

We are leaving Fri 2/22 for Sawmill........can't wait, as usual!
