if Doo Is doing a belt drive I hope they tilt the motor back a little bit. Every belt drive turbo Doo I've ever been around seems to have a belt problem. Dealer Claims or Theory is the Doos have such a long distance from the Secondary Shaft to the Drive Shaft it's too long and too much torque. I always thought a belt is a belt but I guess that makes sense why they have not gone to belt drive if that's the case.I bet a belt drive on the game changing doo.
The issue with a belt drive is the length of the belt, to utilize a belt short enough in the current chaincase without a tensioner, limits gear ratio selection. Those cog belt do not like to be bent in the opposite direction. Another is rolling resistance, a chain has less rolling resistance, the only benefit of a belt drive over a chain is weight, and doo’s chain setup is very light. It just to bad the update didn’t utilize the light weight bottom sprocket, but with the two piece driveshaft, I understand why they went that route.if Doo Is doing a belt drive I hope they tilt the motor back a little bit.
