Creating a Monster. lol

I have a friend name Barry and 3 years ago, I talked him into going snowmobiling with me. It took several years to talk him into it. He had absolutely no experience at it and he thought maybe he wouldn't like it cause he thought it would be a cold sport. I think anyone who's never done this would automatically think that. But once he tried it he was hooked. So today Barry has got to be the most enthused snowmobiler i have ever come accross. He talks, sleep, and eats snowmobiles and is willing to go any time. Today he owns 5 sleds and one is a new 013 skidoo xm 800. So i want to know if you have a friend who you've turned onto snowmobiling and who has, as much enthusiasm as my friend Barry. Please share your story. :face-icon-small-hap

I have also created this monster!

After getting stationed up here 2 years ago I couldn't wait to get back into the mountains and ride. So the first thing I did was go buy a new sled and start riding with a bunch of random snowest guys to show me the ropes. I was having so much fun and going every weekend. My new buddies in WA were always curious about the sport (a nice looking mountain sled looks good in the back of the truck too!) so after some persuasion... I got my 2 room mates to get sleds, they sucked at first, it was like riding with 2 ten 5yr olds (they sucked bad!) but now 1 of them is the same way as Berry ^he eats/breaths/$hits sleds, he loves to ride and is always down to go, always helps me get unstuck and is starting look like a boondocker. I really enjoy riding w/him. I created a monster, but it sure is nice having a live-in sled buddy!... I almost have him talked into a new sled, he likes his M8 with a bunch of upgrades but i want him on a Pro! :face-icon-small-hap

Yes,, took a dirt bike friend of mine riding back in the nineties and after 2000 I had to step back and he and his wife have gone almost every weekend BOTH DAYS.... I just spoke to him today,, told him I would see him on the mountain since I just purchased low mi. slightly modded 08 M 1000..

And the good thing about this sport is action and when creating a monster you need to be owning at least 1 good vid machine (kind of like snowmobiles):yo:and i believe the go pro will be highly used this year, just hope to get at least 1 good shot each wk end like last sat, the nice thing i found so far is that the new xm helps us old farts beat up on the kids and makes us look good doing it, lol. oh did i say side hills real good for the 1st atemp waiting to ride it alot tomarrow also, next will be learnin how to post good photos on this board too. ya Rudy you know who you are and tomarrow will be deep too. go to bed ol timer ya need your rest now in case ya get stuck . lol.:yo:

repost

Look barry there are guys out there just like you, so you wont be alone anymore. My friend barry is such a snowmobile enthusiast he has a hat i bought him last year that reads (snowmobile tour guide) . That's because he's willing to take anyone who's willing to go. Lol

The monster came out in me again today Rudy but i only got 8 vids oh and the 1st guy to get stuck today was "YOU" lol better than me last wk end, glad to see your boys enjoying the day and hope we don't have anymore breakdowns all year now. what do ya think of Kens hill now? pretty spectacular and scenic isn't it? shure wish i could have taken a vid of adam towing Rick's sled back with him smiling the whole way and throwing ice all over me in the process. you got your 1st work out now and this is our 3rd, ya your going to have to go to the gym ol timer to keep up with us kids, lol. go to bed now way past your bed time.

Ah the next challange for ya Rudy the monster in me is comming out again i can "FEEL IT" i sent you , Ken, Adam and Roy a text at 5 am today i just looked at the forcast for the next 7 days all powder aprox 36 to 48 in of it, i suggest we take fri off work so when we get you up to the meddow you can practice deep powder riding again as it has been years for you and only a few days for us we will need you to start liftin weights and riding that bike again them sleds keep getting bigger and heavyier each year hope some of your boys will be available to help ya when ya get stuck in that real deep stuff again, shure had fun yesterday oh ya in case we get ya real stuck it might take some of them sat folks to rescue us from all the deep snow , besides you were already thinking of leaving work early fri anyway. lol.
